Globalisation and education
- Many fee-paying schools have branches of their main school in other countries – priority markets
- These priority markets are China, India, Brazil etc.
- This allows UK education policies to be exported to other countries (another facet of the marketisation of education)
- The EU is an example of globalisation.
- As the EU allows the free-movement of people an increasing number of EU citizens seeking a UK education and so come to a UK school
