- Middle-classes are represented in a more positive light, especially in newspapers such as Daily Mail and Daily Express
- They’re hard working people who try to get by, by their own individual efforts
- These representations are often replicated in films, TV sitcoms through images and scripts of happy nuclear families where both parents work hard as do their offspring in school
- Much of these, as with all representations, come from journalists who are themselves middle-class
