New Labour and Education

sunblair390-9186When Labour came to power in 1997 they kept the idea of parental choice in education and in effect they extended the principles of parental choice evident in the 1988 Education Act by creating even more trypes of schools children can go to. It is important to realise these are all still state schools (free education). Though these schools are all state schools they do vary and you will find out how by clicking on the respective links below:

In conclusion the above text has highlighted the various educational policies implemented in the England and Wales since 1944 to the present day.
